Overview
When orders are imported into the system via one of the many connect options (e.g. Amazon, Ebay, Shopify etc) or uploaded via the spreadsheet loader it is possible to map the courier service tag received from that channel to a Courier Service or Service Type in Mintsoft.
Mapping to courier service types allows you to map the shipping tag to a set of laddered courier service selection rules.
No need to map if services match exactly! If the courier service from the connecting source matches the courier service in Mintsoft exactly (e.g. "RM 24 Packet") then there is no need to setup courier service mappings explained in this guide.
Direct Courier Service Mapping
This method directly links a shipping tag from the source e.g. "1-2 days express delivery" to a courier service setup in Mintsoft e.g. "DPD Next Day".
Navigate to Shipping Management > Courier Service Mapping > Create New
Complete the following information:
Source: |
The source of the orders (e.g. Ebay, Amazon, Shopify Etc) |
Client: |
The Client that the mapping applies to |
Courier Service: |
The courier service you want Mintsoft to set these orders to, e.g. DPD Next Day |
Name: |
The 'tag' from the order source (needs to match exactly what we receive - you can get this value from previous orders by viewing the order history comments). E.g. "Next Day Delivery Before 3PM" |
How do i find out what name it came across with ?
Find the order go details -> History -> ExtraInfo then look in the extra info table:
Courier service type mapping (shipping rules)
With this approach, you do not map the shipping method tag name to a courier service, and instead map it to a Shipping Type e.g. Standard or Express.
You are then able to use our 'Courier Service selection rules' to work out how orders are shipped.
Typically this is used if your sales channel supplies a tag such as "1-2 days express delivery" but you then want the system to assign different services based on the weight or value of the order.
E.g. For Express Shipping you may want to use rules like:
0-2KG - RM Tracked 24
2-5KG = DPD Next Day Express Pak
5-30KG = DPD Next Day Parcel
Navigate to Shipping Management > Courier Service Mapping > Create New
Complete the following information:
Type: |
The source of the orders |
Client: |
Select All or a specific client |
Courier Service: |
LEAVE BLANK (this must be left blank in order to use types) |
Courier Service Type: |
Pick from a list of types (you can add more under Shipping Management > Extras > CourierService Types) |
Name: |
The 'tag' from the order source (needs to match exactly what we receive). |
Once completed, you need to setup rules for Express for that client in Shipping > Courier Service Selection. See the Courier Service Selection (Shipping Rules) guide for how to do this.
