Overview
If you have items stocked at multiple warehouses within Mintsoft, then this feature will allow you to assign a priority against each warehouse in order to allocate available stock & fulfil orders.
You can also set the priority level against individual sales channels for greater flexibility.
e.g. Amazon orders are always fulfilled by a specific warehouse, irrespective of stock availability at other warehouses.
This feature will also split a single order into multiple orders to fulfil at separate warehouses if the products contain separate warehouse allocation rules.
e.g. Order contains two products with the following allocation rules:
SKU1 - has a warehouse priority allocation set of 1 for London
SKU2 - has a warehouse priority allocation set of 1 for Manchester
This would then automatically create two separate orders to fulfil in each warehouse.
Manual Setup
You can set the warehouse allocations against products either manually, or by using a bulk upload.
To set the allocations manually - navigate to Products > Extras > Product Warehouse Allocations
Then add your allocation rules as required;
You will then build up a grid of allocations for your SKUS, my example showing that i have set London as Priority 1 for SKU HP62XL and Manchester as priority 2:
This means that the system will always try to fulfil stock from London first, if there is stock available.
If no stock is available from London, then it will allocate to Manchester if there stock available there instead.
Note: If there is no stock in either warehouse then the order will remain in back-order status and allocated to the priority 1 warehouse.
Upload in Bulk
You can also upload this data in bulk by navigating to Products > Extras > Upload
Download the relevant template for ProductWarehouseAllocations:
And then fill out the spreadsheet as required:
Once you have added or uploaded your allocations, you can also bulk export them to make adjustments and then re-upload:
