Overview
The Master & SubClient feature allows you to allocate multiple sub-clients to an overall master client.
All this functionality essentially does is to allow any master client users to have full visibility of product and order data for a range of sub clients.
This can be useful if a fulfilment centre is working with a number of different brands who belong to one master account
e.g.
Any master client users can then view all product and order data for the assigned sub clients
Restrictions
1) All data has to be loaded separately for each sub client - this includes:
-
- All client data including users & user setup
- 3PL Billing Data
- Product Data
- Shipping Rules & Mapping
2) Products and inventory cannot be shared across multiple sub-clients
3) A 3PL invoice has to be generated for each individual sub-client - there is no option for one grouped 3PL invoice for all or a range of sub-clients.
Setup
First step is to set one client as the master.
This is done by going Edit Client - Then set the Master flag to true.
Once you've done that you you'll then need to edit the SubClients to assoicate them with the master.
This can be done by going to Edit Client:
Those two clients are now linked.
User Accounts
For any user accounts that you setup against the master client you'll need to make sure you enable the ClientMaster role. This will let that user see and filter by the underlying client data.
This can be done by going Clients Users -> Manage Roles:
Any user accounts you setup against the subclients will only have access to that clients data.
