To protect your mintsoft account from unauthorised acces it's recommend that you enable 2 Factor Auth for that extra layer of security. This will be asked for everytime you login from a new location or device to make sure its you.
We also have IP Restrictions so that users can only login from a restricted IP range e.g. Within the warehouse or corporate firewall etc
This can be enabled or disabled by your admin under Roles.
AdminIPRestricted - WIll only allow the user to login from valid IPs that are configured -
AdminRequiresTwoFactor - WIll ask the user to provide 2 Factor codes when login in. This role will also allow you to login for external locations. Can be handy for managers or remote works that use mintsoft outside of the warehouse
Setting up 2FA / 2 Factor Auth Security
Once enabled you'll need to need to scan the QR code on your authenicator app to set this up.
To do this:
Go to your Authicator app
Select Other then scan the QR code on screen.
You'll then get a new entry added to your codes. Enter the code you see on the page in Mintsoft and click enable
Ip Restrictions:
You'll need a static IP to be able to use this feature! Please check with your service provider.
Under customer account settings: - Contact Emails Tab:
This IP address will need to be the external facing IP address. Rather than local network ones so avoid ones like 192.168.0.1 etc as they tend to be local.
