Sometimes you will need to hold an order until the receiving party is ready to receive the goods (could be for specific booked in delivery dates with larger retailers etc).
The system has an automatic process to do this in Orders > Overview that will prevent the order getting despatched until the required day.
The Order must be in NEW or PRINTED status to be able to mark Pack and Hold.
Mark an Order Pack and Hold
Navigate to Orders > Overview and select the order(s).
Then from the action drop down select 'Mark Pack And Hold' from the 'Order Actions' drop down box and then click on the GO button.
You will then be asked to enter a despatch date. Click on the box 'Despatch Date' and a calendar will appear. Select the date you want and click on the GO button.
If you just want to hold the order indefinitely – enter a release date far in advance, and you can then manually release from pack and hold from the order overview page when the time comes.

Releasing Pack & Hold Orders
The system will automatically revert the order back to its original status at 6AM on the day you selected previously.
You can also release the order earlier than the despatch date by navigating to Orders > Overview & selecting the order and then choosing RELEASE - PACK AND HOLD from the Order Actions box.
