Offshore Post Codes & Mapping

Overview

It is possible to add a list of post-codes that the system can warn users & even automatically map to another service if required.

Add Offshore (surcharge) Post Codes Manually

Please navigate to Shipping > Extras > Offshore Shipping Post Codes:

Then you can simply add the prefix of the post code to be selected:

You can either input IV which will pickup all IV post codes or actual post codes such as IV51, IV50 and so on.

You can enter post-codes by country also for example spanish off-shore islands.

When finished you can have a table like this:

Or you can upload a bulk CSV spreadsheet by navigating to Shipping > Extras > Uploads and download the template from there & upload.

Adding Offshore Courier Mapping Rule

Crucially you can also decide to automatically map courier services for any orders containing these post codes to another courier service if the standard service gets heavily surcharges.

Please navigate to Shipping > Extras > Offshore Courier Mapping

Then simply add the mappings required which will switch the original courier service selected to the preferred offshore carrier:

Important note:  Offshore mapping runs at the end of the courier selection logic, and will even over turn a default product rule.
