When your database is setup, one warehouse is created called Main Warehouse as a default.
You can use this warehouse for your stock and do not need to create any locations for the system to work as standard.
However if your stock is stored in different warehouses, or you want to ringfence stock between retail & wholesale or off site you may want to create an additional warehouse to segregate stock.
If you create additional warehouses on the system - you need to setup at least one location for each warehouse to assign stock to it.
To Add a Warehouse navigate to SETTINGS and scroll down until you come to WAREHOUSES section and select WAREHOUSES
A list of all Warehouses will be displayed. To create a new warehouse select the green button 'Add New Warehouse'
Select the client or All and Enter a Name and Details
A message - Sucess! - Warehouse Successfully Added! will be displayed and the newly created warehouse will display on the list of Warehouses
You then need to add a least one location to the Warehouse you have created.
To do this click on the white Locations button.
Then click on the green Add New Location button
Select UNASSIGNED from the drop down boxes for Zone, Aisle, Bay, Shelf and DEFAULT for location type. Give it a name of unassigned then click on the green CREATE button.
If you want to add more locations, use the upload locations feature.
