Overview
In order to ensure the highest possible picking accuracy - Mintsoft can support barcode verified picking at a pack station - this can be used either in isolation, or in conjunction with mobile picking as a double verification process.
However not all products or all clients products are barcoded, so you can enable this setting on a per client basis.
Enable Barcode Verification
To enable barcode picking for a client select Picking & Packing > Overview
Then select Manage Barcode Verification Rules form the Settings section:
Select Client and Channel from dropdown menus.
For Order Value Above enter 0.00 - this would then include all orders for that client (if you didn't want to scan low value orders, you could set this as 10.00 for example)
Then click on Create button:
Adding Barcode Data
There are 4 barcode data validations possible:
SKU
Product ID
EAN
UPC
SKU & Product ID barcode scanning will not require any extra information to be populated against the products - but EAN & UPC validations will require you to enter this info against the products - either manually:
Or you can upload in bulk in Products > Extras > Upload Products
Barcode Verification Process
To start the process to barcode verify your orders navigiate to Picking > Order Picking & scan the despatch note barcode (or tote barcode if using mobile picking)
You will now be shown a screen of what you need to scan for that order:
Once you successfully scan an item the progress bar will increase and the oustanding items on the right hand side will decrease:
However if they scan the wrong barcode, a distinctive error noise will sound (if speakers available) and error message displayed on screen.
However please note that we have provided an option to correct the stored database barcode, as in some scenarios factories could have applied the wrong barcode for the product or admin staff have allocated the wrong barcode to a product.
There is also an over-ride option for only supervisor users in the picking-super role group to click if there is a scenario where the barcode cannot be updated or confirmed:
Once you have scanned all items successfully you will land on the shipping screen for your courier labels
