You can use any device running Android 6.0 and higher to run our scanning app.
So any modern android phone or tablet will be able to run the app made from 2016 onwards.
Depending on budget - there are two options - either a device paired with a bluetooth scanner, or an all-in-one scanner.
Please check with us before you buy a scanner to check we support it.
1) All in one device / scanner
We currently integrate with the following all in one scanners:
- Newland MT90
In terms of screen size, battery life & components included this is the best value for money scanner than we integrate with - it comes with a charging cradle, rugged case & hand strap as standard (its advisable to get the GMS version which has access to Google Play Store):
- Zebra Models: TC21 / TC25
This is best budget scanner available, but does come with a smaller battery - and may not last an extensive shift:
The Zebra TC25 has both Wifi and 4G connectivity:
- Honeywell Models: D75E / CT40 / EDA50
2) Normal Android Phone or Tablet - must be paired with separate Bluetooth scanner
If you are using a mobile android phone then we would suggest to use a rugged case to prevent breakages from drops etc.
If you are using a Picking trolley, you may prefer to use a larger tablet device such as;
Which then must pair with a bluetooth scanner such as this which would allow hands free picking:
Or you can use pair with this scanner which has neck lanyard clip so never has to be put down:
It's possible to connect a mobile thermal printer to the android device to printer courier labels on certain picking methods such as one label per pick and Flexipick.
We have tested this with the Zebra QLn420:
