When products are in more than one location on the system then the stock allocation picking logic for that product is as follows:
- If any best before dates are found - the system will allocate stock based on a FEFO basis (First Expiring - First Out)
- If no expiry dates are found, then the system will look for a default pick location for the product & allocate stock from that location.
- If no default pick location is found then the system will look for the location with the lowest quantity found (to prevent part empty locations around the warehouse) & allocate from this first.
- If all locations have the same quantity of stock for that item, then the system will allocate stock on a FIFO based (i.e. the location where stock was first booked into - the oldest location allocation first)
